Your journey begins in Corfu, where ATLANTIC awaits. After embarkation and a relaxed departure, the yacht heads south towards Paxos. As the coastline fades, the rhythm of life onboard settles in. Arrival in Gaios offers a first glimpse of Ionian charm, with its lively harbour and waterfront tavernas.
Cruising further south, the scenery opens into wider horizons. This longer passage is an opportunity to fully experience ATLANTIC under sail. Lovely Lefkada sits in the heart of the Ionian Sea and is connected to mainland Greece by a small bridge. Widely considered one of the most evocative Greek islands, it also has the nickname of the Caribbean of Greece. Sublime natural landscapes, beautiful beaches, and quaint villages capture the spirit of local life.
Departing Lefkada, the yacht continues towards Ithaki, an island steeped in myth and natural beauty. The approach is striking, with steep green hills descending into calm, protected bays. Time slows here, ideal for a swim, snorkel or a quiet evening ashore.
Surrounded by stunning views, the rugged island of Kefalonia is one of the best for hiking. With Kefalonian fir trees covering Mount Enose and the peak rising to a staggering 5,340 ft, avid climbers will be in their element. You don't need to don hiking shoes to enjoy the bounty of Kefalonia. The island is famed for its wineries, lively nightlife in Assos, and jaw-dropping beaches. It's no wonder that Kefalonia has inspired filmmakers and poets - with Lord Byron penning his pieces here, and it serves as the film setting in Captain Corelli's Mandolin.
Across the clear blue waters of beautiful Lefkada, the small island of Meganisi calls out a siren song, tempting sailors with her pretty curved beaches, seafront taverners, and sleepy way of life. Meganisi is shaped like a flower with each petal providing hidden bays and sheltered spots for swimming and snorkeling in warm waters. While only 20km in size, this gauzy Greek island has a lot going for it.
Approaching Antipaxos from Meganisi, the deep Ionian blues gradually give way to striking turquoise waters, revealing luminous bays framed by pale sand and low, untouched coastline. The anchorage offers a final, tranquil pause for swimming or a relaxed lunch ashore in a discreet seaside taverna before continuing north towards Corfu.
Known as the greenest Greek island and the largest island of the Eptanisa, Corfu comes with a cosmopolitan, multicultural charm. Influenced by the Venetians and the French, Corfu is home to impressive architecture, scenic landscapes, a plethora of beaches, and a spectacular west coast where few visitors venture to marvel at its sleepy inlets and rugged cliff-faced coastline. There are so many beaches to choose from in Corfu, with some of the best being Agios Georgios Pagon, Ermones, Paleokastritsa, Glyfada, and the remote shores of Myrtiotissa.
During the final evening and following morning, fall in love with the seaside villages that seem to be straight out of a film set. As one of the major fortified cities in Europe, you can expect a wealth of history from the old town to the Achillion Palace. There is truly no better place for sharing a meal and looking back on a memory-filled charter.
